Membership in the Alliance is open to all nonprofit health care organizations that are interested in
and committed to preserving, and advancing the performance of, nonprofit health care financing and
delivery in the U.S.

Membership in the Alliance is free for the first year. Beginning in year two, the annual dues are
scaled to the size of the organization.

Public and investor-owned organizations have their organized groups to carry their banners and to
protect and represent their interests. You need yours! Participate in the only national organization
speaking as one strong and persistent voice for all of nonprofit health care.

The benefits of membership include:
• Individual assistance upon request to help address state or local non-profit health care issues

• Opportunities to serve on the board of directors and task forces to help set priorities for the research, public education, advocacy and performance enhancement initiatives of the Alliance

• Opportunities to help develop and advocate public policy positions on major issues affecting nonprofit health care such as tax exemption and community benefit obligations, governance, executive and board compensation, conversions, funding support for health information technology, and various aspects health care reform

• Opportunities to explore - during discussion forums led by expert speakers as well as through networking - how similar and different types of nonprofit health care organizations are, or should be, working better together on common issues such as patient safety and quality, community benefit programs, and payment reforms

• Opportunities to participate in roundtable discussions on important nonprofit health care issues, the proceedings of which are broadly disseminated

• Monthly newsletter to keep you updated on key developments and accomplishments of the Alliance and the nonprofit health sector
